State of the Union Do You Stand or Understand?

We know you’ve been waiting for a riveting and tongue in cheek mock of the current race for the top seat in the American White House. Honestly, we got caught up in a Netflix binge of the entirety of the Shameless series. Why? Because much like most average, voting age, Americans we’re desperately trying to find an escape from the dismal dumpster fire we’ve grown accustom to that is the normalized America.

Woke-ism, dismissal of common social graces, the trend of silencing past stereotypes to embrace new stereotypes, influencer monetization and the whole new “branding” that all Americans must now encompass and integrate into their daily lives while distracting ourselves from massive separations of economic class, a lowered customer and public service standard, internet scams, street crime and heavily trafficked opinion throughout social media.

In the middle of this furnace of rubbish and disregard for morals and empathy we tend to march forward and just get to work, go home, ignore everything and escape. Who has time to worry about how to tackle taxes, poverty, border control, international conflict, healthcare and education? The people who have the resources to do so.

Our political and judicial system, much like our healthcare system tends to confront symptoms of a problem not having the foresight to test and research the problem itself. In our healthcare system this leads to billions of dollars of profit for the medical community because the problem itself is never brought to the surface. We’re not blaming healthcare professionals. In fact health care professionals work tirelessly to keep up with constant demands from patients who just don’t know what’s wrong with them. They only know they don’t feel right. Something is wrong.

The problem is the lack of a thorough and educated understanding of the human body. If you’re suffering from depression your doctor doesn’t ask you what you’ve been eating, how many hours do you sleep, are you getting enough sunshine or exercise, they assume you’re already 100% on all of your needs so they prescribe a medication to fix the problem. Maybe blood labs are done but it doesn’t explain the issue. So, they give you a pill.

The same happens with our political system, there’s gun violence? Let’s create more policies to ensure gun violence is reduced. There are illegal immigrants hiding amongst us? Detain them and kick them out. Americans are paying 400% higher prescription rates than any other country? Reduce the rates.

The question is, does the American government understand its body of constituents? The answer is no. It understands that there are deep debilitating disorders among its collection of social systems, but, do not have the education or resources to test, research and understand the body.

What America needs is a different approach. A new form of outreach and data collection to find the root weaknesses and dysfunctions of our body of people and address the unique needs of each diverse body including our neighboring country.

A chain is only as strong as its weakest link.

If we were conspiracy theorists, which we are not, but, if we were, here’s what we see. If you want to destabilize a country you remove faith in its government and political system. A single term president spends most of their time changing the political actions of the previous president in a contest of egos, the following term the same and the same after that, switching between conflicting parties leads no headway for national advancement. We don’t care who you vote for. We’re not picking sides. We’re just here to do what intellectuals should do, it’s the responsibility of intellectuals to point out contradiction and fallacy… Oh… And make fun of the obvious.
